Emerging Projects
Expand the knowledge-base of traditional medicine in Guatemala through basic ethnographic and ethnobotanical research co-produced with Maya scientists.
Aimed to be an international space for mutual learning, it will work as a bridge between disciplines, cultures, people and countries providing a space for rigorous transdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange between socio-epistemic systems.
Our goal is to scale-up plant nurseries of medicinal plants along with seed repositories, in order to safeguard native species and conduct research on the most efficient mechanisms for germination, transplantation and assisted reproduction.
Access a comprehensive database of Guatemala's medicinal plants. Support local communities and promote safe usage of traditional remedies.
